Discover Hockey Brackets – Official Contest Rules

Organized by Canadian Recreational Sports Development Corp

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

Participation in this contest is free of charge. No purchase or payment is required to enter or win.

2. ELIGIBILITY

  • Open to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry.

  • Participants must be eligible and available to participate in a Discover Hockey program located in Calgary, Edmonton, or Richmond, BC.

  • Employees, contractors, and representatives of Canadian Recreational Sports Development Corp and their immediate families are not eligible to win prizes.

3. CONTEST PERIOD

The contest begins upon the official launch of the NHL Playoff Bracket Challenge and ends with the conclusion of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final.

4. HOW TO ENTER

  1. Go to the NHL Playoff Bracket Challenge platform.

  2. Join the group titled “Discover Hockey Brackets”.

  3. Submit your full NHL playoff bracket prediction, including winners for each round and final Stanley Cup Champion, according to the platform’s rules.

  4. Brackets must be submitted before the deadline posted on the NHL Playoff Bracket Challenge platform. Late entries will not be considered.

5. TIEBREAKER RULE

In the event of a tie for the Runner-Up Prize (e.g. multiple participants with the same top score), the following tiebreaker will apply in this order:

  1. Closest prediction to the total number of goals scored in the Stanley Cup Final series.

  2. Closest prediction to the total number of games played in the entire playoffs.

  3. Random draw conducted by Canadian Recreational Sports Development Corp.

6. PRIZES

Grand Prize – “Perfect Bracket Champion”

Awarded to any participant who correctly predicts every playoff series winner, including the Stanley Cup champion, and all first round series scores,

🏒 Prize includes:

  • Full entry into the Discover Hockey program of winner’s choice

  • One full season on a team formed through the program (winter and summer)

  • All required hockey equipment (up to $1,000 CAD)

Approximate total value: $3,000 CAD

✅ Conditions:

  • Must be 18+ and able to participate in Calgary, Edmonton, or Richmond, BC

  • Prize will only be awarded if a perfect bracket is submitted on the official NHL Playoff Bracket Challenge platform

Runner-Up Prize – “Top Bracket”

Awarded to the participant with the highest point total in the Discover Hockey Brackets group, regardless of whether the bracket is perfect.

🏒 Prize:

  • Free entry into the Discover Hockey program

  • Approximate value: $499 CAD

✅ Conditions:

  • Must be 18+ and able to participate in Calgary, Edmonton, or Richmond, BC

  • If no perfect bracket is submitted, the Runner-Up Prize becomes the top prize

7. WINNER NOTIFICATION

Winners will be contacted via the email or platform username associated with their bracket submission within 7 business days of the Stanley Cup Final ending. If a selected winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 7 days, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to the next eligible participant.

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS

  • Prizes are non-transferable and must be accepted as awarded.

  • Canadian Recreational Sports Development Corp reserves the right to substitute any prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary.

  • The organizer is not responsible for technical issues with the NHL Bracket Challenge platform or failure of entries to be received.

  • By participating, entrants agree to abide by these rules and the decisions of Canadian Recreational Sports Development Corp, which are final and binding.

  • Contest is void where prohibited.
